Christmas at The Lovat isn’t just about decorations and food. The exhilaration of a cold plunge in the loch, followed by the warmth of a fireside armchair; the grounding of wide, wild Highland landscapes, followed by a seasonal tasting menu that feels just that little bit special.
From the moment you arrive, we want you to feel at home. We’ve decked the halls with twinkling lights, sparkling gold and silver baubles and rich holly wreaths, with every corner of the hotel inviting you to settle in, enjoying a space for togetherness and for making memories.
Our Highland Christmas
One of the things we love most about The Lovat at Christmas is our incredible Highland setting. It’s about embracing what’s right in front of us – the frosty loch and rolling hills as far as the eye can see, and wintery walks that embrace the season. It’s simple, grounding and restorative. It’s about slowing down, switching off and finding comfort in the Highlands, with just a touch of indulgence.
Festive Food with a Highland Twist
Christmas at The Lovat is, of course, all about the food. Sean and his team have designed a menu that celebrates the very best of our local produce, with a Highland twist to every traditional dish. Think cured Loch trout and succulent venison, followed by the much-loved Christmas turkey, complete with duck-fat potatoes, roasted parsnips and a touch of tart cranberries. All done for you so you can savour the season.
