Equality Commitment Statement
The Lovat Loch Ness is committed to being a workplace, and a guest destination, where everyone is treated with fairness, dignity, and respect — regardless of age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage or civil partnership, pregnancy or maternity, race, religion or belief, sex, or sexual orientation.
We believe a genuinely welcoming Highland hospitality experience starts with how we treat our own team. Our CORE values — Commit, Open, Respect, Energy — shape how we work with each other, our guests, and our suppliers, and sit at the heart of our approach to justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion (JEDI).
What This Means in Practice
- Fair, non-discriminatory recruitment, based on merit and potential (see our Recruitment Policy)
- A workplace where everyone can raise a concern safely, including about discrimination or exclusion, without fear of retaliation (see our Non-Retaliation Policy)
- Pay decisions based on performance, market rate, and fairness — not bias (see our Pay Review Process)
- Ongoing training and awareness for our team, tracked through our JEDI/Equality Training Log
- A genuine welcome for all guests, staff, and job applicants, whatever their background
Our Ongoing Commitment
We recognise that inclusion is a continuous effort, not a one-off statement. We will keep learning, listening, and improving how we live up to this commitment, as part of our wider B Corp journey.
