Some days ask for very little: a warm fire, good food, a long sleep, and a slow morning. This is one of them.
Arrive from 2pm and settle in. Come evening, Station Road sets the table for a three-course set menu at 7:30pm, built on what's foraged, gathered and grown nearby. Afterwards, step out to the fire pit, where mulled wine and marshmallows are waiting. Stay as long as the embers do.
If you're feeling brave in the morning, the Loch Ness dook is there for the taking: a quick, bracing plunge, and then straight back to warmth. There's no rush — brunch is served until 12 noon, and you needn't check out until 2pm.
Twenty-four unhurried hours, and the Highlands do the rest.
