With a bountiful natural larder both in our kitchen garden and fertile landscape around us, all of the ingredients we use have been meaningfully harvested. We take the taste of the Highlands and turn them into culinary masterpieces. Each dish has it's own, unique story. 

7-course menu

Mòr

Each course connects to this landscape and its food history. Wild garlic pulled from the woods that morning alongside venison that's been hanging for weeks. Seaweed from the coast. Herbs dried last summer. Vegetables nursed through winter. It's circular cooking - respectful of what the land gives and when.

Mion

A 3 course set menu drawing daily inspiration from the gardens just outside the kitchen door and the pick of the surrounding landscape. Highland ingredients are at the heart of every plate. This isn't foraging as trend, but as tradition reimagined.

Mòr - Vegetarian

Chef Sean Kelly's Mòr vegetarian menu is a journey through Highland seasons, past and present. It's built on what's foraged from the hills and lochside, what's grown in our garden, and what's been preserved from earlier harvests - pickled, fermented, cured, stored.

Afternoon Tea

Our Afternoon Tea is an experience like no other. It’s a mini tasting menu with a selection of delicious treats to reawaken the taste buds - balanced between savoury and sweet to bridge the gap between breakfast and dinner.

Midday Lounge Menu

Settle in for a leisurely lunch in the relaxed surroundings of our lounge, or garden, where a carefully crafted menu draws on the finest Highland larder. Expect seasonal plates inspired by the ever-changing colours and flavours of the Scottish countryside, where each bite reflects The Lovat's deep connection to the land and kitchen gardens that surround it.

Breakfast

Breakfast is a warm and wholesome affair, served in an atmospheric dining room overlooking Loch Ness. From a hearty full cooked Scottish breakfast with all the trimmings, through to green juices, oats, and fresh fruit bowls. A Highlands breakfast that feels both thoughtful and rooted in its setting.
