Fancy some home baking?  Well, here is a perfect accompaniment to that morning or afternoon coffee or tea – and if you would like something else a little bit special then make our best cappuccino!



75g                         Unsalted Butter

75g                         Caster Sugar

25g                         Liquid Glucose

25ml                      Skimmed Milk

125g                       Sesame Seeds

25g                         Poppy Seeds



Melt the butter with the sugar, glucose and milk. Stir in the sesame seeds and poppy seeds. Spread the mixture thinly on a baking sheet, then bake at 200o for about 8 minutes – cut into shape whilst still hot and then leave to cool.


Useful Tip

Put a silicone baking mat on the table, put the mixture on top, put another silicone mat on top of that then use a rolling pin to get the desired thickness.  Freeze then when ready to bake, peel off the top silicone mat
