The Great Glen Way high route between Fort Augustus & Invermoriston is closed until Summer 2024 due to logging and forestry work in the local woodlands. But do not be discouraged, the low route is still open.
The Great Glen Way is a collection of paths and trails that stretch from Fort William to Inverness, 79 miles (125km) in total. It can be walked in 4-7 days with overnight respite in communities on route. This experience suits all levels of walkers and is ideal if you are looking to be surrounded by the outdoor elements of the Scottish Highlands.
The Great Glen Way low route has an abundance of woodland beauty and picture perfect Loch Ness Views…. And, added coverage if it’s raining. That sounds like a win-win.
